Server locations

Our servers are located exclusively in the Federal Republic of Germany. All data traffic (image data, print data, etc.) is carried out exclusively via companies based in the Federal Republic of Germany and, as a rule, only via the company's own services.

Disclosure to third parties

We will not disclose your personal data, including your home address and email address, to third parties without your express and revocable consent. This does not include our service partners who require the transfer of data for order processing (e.g. our respective producer, the shipping company responsible for delivery and the credit institution responsible for payment processing). In these cases, however, the scope of the data transmitted is limited to the minimum required.

Security

We use technical and organisational security measures to protect your data managed by us against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons.

We collect the following information:

Information that you provide to us:

Data that you enter on our websites or transmit to us in other ways is collected and stored by us. On our websites, this may include your name, address, telephone number, fax number, email address, messages, tax number, financial data, interests, files and documents. You are not obliged to provide all data. However, this may lead to restrictions in our range of services due to missing information.

Information that is collected automatically when you visit our websites:

As soon as you access our websites, information is automatically collected by our IT systems. This is primarily technical data (e.g. information about the end devices you use and your Internet connection, such as your IP address, browser, provider, operating system, platform, pages visited on our websites, date, time, products viewed and searched for, duration of website visits, duration of page loading, whether access was successful, information about interactions and about leaving the website. This is done in part through the use of cookies and flash cookies. This data is collected automatically as soon as you open our websites or advertisements or other content published on other websites on behalf of SweetPromotion GmbH. We use this data exclusively for statistical analysis and to improve our offering. It is not used for commercial purposes. Furthermore, the data is not stored permanently. You have the option to object to the collection of this data at any time.

Other sources of information:

We also receive information about search terms and search results, which are collected using Google Analytics, for example.

Processing of personal data

Your data will be stored, processed and passed on for the purpose of carrying out pre-contractual measures such as preparing quotations, fulfilling contractual obligations such as order fulfilment (production and delivery of goods by service providers, processing of payments, credit checks and compliance with legal requirements). This is done on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. B GDPR. We also use this data to improve our service. By submitting the form, you give us your consent to combine the information collected into user profiles and to process these for our own advertising purposes.

Contact forms, enquiry forms, email enquiries

If you send us enquiries via the form or by email, your details from the form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

The data entered in the form or in the email will therefore be processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) and ( § 7 para. 3 UWG). You can revoke this consent at any time. To do so, simply send us an informal email. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you enter in the form/email will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to its storage or the purpose for which it was collected no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Technical data collection on our websites

Data storage through cookies:

Some of our websites use cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called ‘session cookies’. They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser when you next visit our website.

You can configure your browser to inform you about the use of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Cookies that are necessary for the electronic communication process or for the provision of certain functions you have requested (e.g. shopping basket function) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. If other cookies (e.g. cookies for analysing your surfing behaviour) are stored, these are treated separately in this privacy policy.

Our websites are also accessible without accepting cookies. However, we would like to point out that our service will then only be available to a limited extent. You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly. In the menu bar of your browser under Help, you will find the appropriate options for disabling the installation of cookies.

Server log files:

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

Browser type and browser version
Operating system used
Referrer URL
Host name of the accessing computer
Time of the server request
IP
This data is not merged with other data sources.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

Analysis tool and advertising

We use the following technologies from Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (‘Google’). The information automatically collected by Google technologies about your use of our website is usually transferred to a server of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, and stored there. There is no adequacy decision by the European Commission for the USA. Our cooperation with them is based on standard data protection clauses of the European Commission. Unless otherwise specified for the individual technologies, data processing is carried out on the basis of an agreement concluded for the respective technology between jointly responsible parties in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR. Further information about data processing by Google can be found in Google's privacy policy.

Google Analytics

For the purpose of website analysis, Google Analytics automatically collects and stores data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, and information about your use of our website), which is used to create usage profiles using pseudonyms. Cookies may be used for this purpose. If you visit our website from the EU, your IP address will be stored on a server located in the EU to derive location data and then immediately deleted before the traffic is forwarded to other Google servers for processing. Data processing is based on an agreement on order processing by Google.

We also use the Google Optimize extension function of Google Analytics to create and carry out tests.

For the purpose of optimising the marketing of our website, we use the so-called user ID function. This function allows us to assign a unique, permanent ID to your interaction data from one or more sessions on our online platforms and thus analyse your user behaviour across devices and sessions.

For web analysis, the extension function of Google Analytics, Google Signals, enables so-called ‘cross-device tracking’. If your internet-enabled devices are linked to your Google account and you have activated the ‘personalised advertising’ setting in your Google account, Google can create reports on your usage behaviour (in particular the number of users across devices), even if you change your device. We do not process any personal data in this respect; we only receive statistics generated by Google Signals.

IP anonymisation:

We have activated the IP anonymisation function on this website. This means that your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google.

Browser plugin:

You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Objection to data collection:

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent your data from being collected on future visits to this website: Disable Google Analytics.

For more information on how Google Analytics handles user data, please refer to Google's privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Order data processing:

We have concluded a contract with Google for order data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Demographic characteristics in Google Analytics:

This website uses the ‘demographic characteristics’ feature of Google Analytics. This allows reports to be created that contain statements about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising by Google and from visitor data from third-party providers. This data cannot be assigned to a specific person. You can disable this feature at any time via the ad settings in your Google account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section ‘Objection to data collection’.

Google reCAPTCHA

For the purpose of protecting our web forms from misuse and spam from automated software (so-called bots), Google reCAPTCHA collects data (IP address, time of visit, browser information and information about your use of our website) and analyses your use of our website using JavaScript and cookies. In addition, other cookies stored by Google services in your browser are evaluated. Personal data from the input fields of the respective form is not read or stored.

Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager allows us to manage various codes and services on our website. When implementing the individual tags, Google may also process personal data (e.g. IP address, online identifiers (including cookies)). Data processing is based on an agreement on order processing by Google.

The use of Google Tag Manager allows the integration of various services/technologies. If you do not wish to use individual tracking services and have therefore deactivated them, the deactivation will remain in effect for all tracking tags integrated by Google Tag Manager.

Google Analytics Remarketing

Our websites use the functions of Google Analytics Remarketing in conjunction with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

This function allows the advertising target groups created with Google Analytics Remarketing to be linked to the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. This allows interest-based, personalised advertising messages that have been tailored to you based on your previous usage and surfing behaviour on one device (e.g. mobile phone) to also be displayed on another of your devices (e.g. tablet or PC).

If you have given your consent, Google will link your web and app browsing history to your Google account for this purpose. This allows the same personalised advertising messages to be displayed on any device you sign in to with your Google account.

To support this feature, Google Analytics collects Google-authenticated user IDs that are temporarily linked to our Google Analytics data to define and create target groups for cross-device advertising.

You can permanently opt out of cross-device remarketing/targeting by disabling personalised advertising in your Google account; follow this link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.

The summary of the data collected in your Google account is based solely on your consent, which you can give or withdraw at Google (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). For data collection processes that are not merged into your Google account (e.g. because you do not have a Google account or have objected to the merger), the collection of data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The legitimate interest arises from the fact that the website operator has an interest in the anonymous analysis of website visitors for advertising purposes.

Further information and the privacy policy can be found in Google's privacy policy at: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/.

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising programme provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (‘Google’).

We use conversion tracking as part of Google AdWords. When you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie for conversion tracking is set. Cookies are small text files that are stored on the user's computer by the Internet browser. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used to personally identify users. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognise that the user has clicked on the ad and been redirected to this page.

Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers are informed of the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can object to this use by easily deactivating the Google conversion tracking cookie via your Internet browser under user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

For more information about Google AdWords and Google conversion tracking, please refer to Google's privacy policy: http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Overheat

This website uses overheat.de, a web analysis tool provided by ‘overheat UG (haftungsbeschränkt)’ with its registered office at Stürzenberger Weg 30, 51766 Engelskirchen, Germany. It is used to anonymously record interactions of randomly selected individual visitors to the website. This creates a log of, for example, mouse movements and clicks with the aim of identifying opportunities for improving the respective website. In addition, information about the operating system, browser, incoming and outgoing references (links), geographical origin, and resolution and type of device is evaluated for statistical purposes. This information is not personal and is not passed on to third parties by overheat.de. If you do not want your data to be recorded, you can deactivate this on all websites that use overheat by setting the DoNotTrack header in your browser. You can find information on this on the following page: click here.

Information about the newsletter and consent

Below, we explain the content of our newsletter, the registration, dispatch and statistical evaluation procedures, and your rights of objection. By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to receive it and to the procedures described.

Content of the newsletter:

We send info mails, newsletters, emails and other electronic notifications with advertising information (hereinafter referred to as ‘info mail’) only with the consent of the recipient or with legal permission (Section 7 (3) UWG). If the content of the newsletter is specifically described when registering for the newsletter, this content is decisive for the consent of the user. In addition, our info mails contain information about promotional items and gifts, in particular from the confectionery and food sector in general.

Double opt-in and logging:

Registration for our info mail is carried out using a double opt-in procedure. This means that after registering, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary to prevent anyone from registering with someone else's email address. Registrations for the info mail are logged in order to be able to prove the registration process in accordance with legal requirements. This includes, among other things, storing the time of registration and confirmation, as well as the IP address.

Registration data:
To register for the info mail, all you need to do is provide your email address, first name, last name and company name.

Statistical collection and analysis:
The info mails contain a so-called ‘tracking pixel’, i.e. a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from the server when the info mail is opened. During this retrieval, technical information such as information about your browser and your system, as well as your IP address and the time of retrieval, is collected. This information is used to improve the technical performance of the services based on the technical data or the target groups and their reading behaviour based on their retrieval locations (which can be determined using the IP address) or the access times. Statistical surveys also include determining whether the info mail is opened, when it is opened and which links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to individual info mail recipients. However, it is not our intention to monitor individual users. The evaluations serve us much more to identify the interests of our users and to adapt our content to them or to send different content according to the interests of our users.

Shipping:
We use rapidmail to send our info mail. Your data will therefore be transmitted to rapidmail GmbH. Rapidmail GmbH is prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than sending the info mail. Rapidmail GmbH is not permitted to pass on or sell your data. Rapidmail is a German, certified newsletter software provider that has been carefully selected in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR and the BDSG.

Cancellation/revocation:
You can unsubscribe from our info mail at any time, i.e. revoke your consent. You will find a link to cancel the info mail at the end of each info mail.

Information and objection

You have the right to obtain information about the data we have stored about you at any time and free of charge, without giving reasons. You can also have the data blocked, corrected or deleted, provided that there is no legal obligation to retain it. It is also possible to revoke your consent to the collection and use of your data at any time without giving reasons.
